MISSION TO MEXICO CHIAPAS 2008 JULY 27-AUGUST 4

First Presbyterian Church is proud to announce that it has filled the mission team for the 2008 mission trip to Chiapas state in Mexico. Sixteen members of the church will make the trip. The team will spend five days in Ocosingo where it will be involved in the continuing construction activity underway on Las Manos de Cristo Clínica Médica, the health clinic for the indigenous peoples of Chiapas. The team is also scheduled to visit the village of Matzam to worship with the Tzeltal-speaking Presbyterians of that village. During the stay in Ocosingo the team will lead two days of afternoon Bible school for the children living in the vicinity of Alfa y Omega Instituto Biblico, where the team will be staying during its time in Ocosingo.
