Mexico Mission Opportunity

There are still three spaces available for the July mission trip to Chiapas, Mexico. Twelve members of FPC have committed to the trip. This will be the fourth year that FPC has sent a team to Chiapas. We hope to be working on either the health clinic in Ocosingo, which is nearing completion, or on the new sanctuary for Templo Filipos, the Presbyterian church in the village of Matzam. The trip departs Norfolk on Sunday July 25th and returns Sunday August 1st. Airfare is currently around $975 per person. The Outreach Committee will fund the costs of transportation, meals, construction materials and lodging in Chiapas. You need not speak Spanish to participate. The only requirement is a desire to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through service to others. We have made many wonderful relationships with the Tzeltal-speaking Presbyterians of Chiapas in years past and will build upon that foundation this year.
