PROSPECTIVE MEMBER CLASS

A series of prospective member classes for those who wish to join the First Church family will be conducted by Rev. Butzer on Sundays, September 12th, 19th(no class on September 26th), and October 3rd, from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. in Stanton Hall. Participants who decide to join will be received into membership at the 11 o'clock service on Sunday, October 3rd. We welcome into membership of First Presbyterian Church anyone who professes Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and wishes to follow the Christian way of life. New Members are received in the following ways:

- Letter of Transfer for those who are members of another Presbyterian church or a church of another denomination which grants letters of transfer. We will write to your former church and request the letter.

- Confession of Faith for those who have never been members of a Christian church. Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and baptism (if one has not been previously baptized) are required of those who have not previously belonged to a church.

- Reaffirmation of Faith for those who belong to a church which does not grant letters of transfer to other denominations or for those whose membership in another church has lapsed.
